Unique Nursing Services was established in 2001 by Cynthia Lusack, its Director and Nursing Manager.
From humble beginnings, Unique Nursing has grown to be now one of the leading Healthcare providers in the North West region, meeting the needs of all its clients and customers.
Cynthia is a Registered General Nurse who has worked in NHS Hospitals and in the private sector, providing care to various client groups, achieving extraordinary skills on how to meet each client's needs. Her own experience as a nurse, along with her sensitive and caring manner, places her in the ideal position to advise each member of staff with the right placement for themselves, whether it may be on Domiciliary Care or working in a Nursing Home.
Her expertise includes a significant amount of time as a proprietor manager of a Nursing Home for the elderly. This experience has added great value to her knowledge of how elderly people feel about living in a home as well as in their own community.
Since 1973, Cynthia has held managerial positions, having recently achieved a Registered Managers Award. Cynthia personally supervises both Home Care and Nursing divisions with a proactive hands-on approach, while supporting and investing on the staff, valuating their commitment to delivering a service of excellence.
Unique Nursing Services are authorised and regulated by the Care Quality Commission - CQC (former Commission for Social Care Inspection - CSCI) and are registered by the Employment Agency Standards Office. We comply fully with the Royal College of Nursing’s Code of Practice and we apply its standards with vigour.
In July 2004, Unique Nursing Services was recognised as meeting the National Standard for effective Investment in People by the North West Quality Centre.
